  • 2008 (August) RRS James Clark Ross Chasing the Ice cruise to Svalbard and the Arctic (PSO Prof. Ray Leakey). Collecting particulate organic matter, mega cores and sea ice cores.
  • 2008 (June) Leading a team of 5 workers using small boats to collect short sediment cores/grabs and water samples from eight lakes in Hokkaido, Japan (PI).
  • 2007 Participated in the RRS James Cook cruise “JR15” to the NE Atlantic and Scottish Sea Lochs. Collected gravity, vibro and rock cores.
  • 2004 International Global Atmospheric Chemistry (IGAC) core project: Mega Cities – Tokyo.
  • 2002 N.W. Scottish coastal isolation basins, collected sediment samples and hydrographic data by small boat and by hand for analysis during Ph.D.
  • 2000 Participated in the RRS James Clark Ross ARCICE 2000 cruise to the Nordic Seas (PSO Prof. Julian Dowdeswell). Collected samples of filtrated particulate organic matter, gravity cores and XBT probe data for analysis during Ph.D.
